FROM THE NORTH:

Take I-77 South to Exit 36 (Route 150). Turn RIGHT at the top of the ramp and take Rt. 150 WEST. Go 0.5 mile to Country Corner Marine and turn LEFT. Go to next traffic light and turn RIGHT onto Brawley School Road. Go 5.0 miles to traffic circle. Exit traffic circle on OPPOSITE side as you entered (pretend it was never there). Go 0.9 miles and turn LEFT on Yacht Road. Go 0.8 miles and turn LEFT into LNYC.

FROM THE SOUTH:

Take I-77 North to Exit 33. Turn LEFT at the top of ramp and go ~ 2 miles to traffic light. Turn LEFT onto Brawley School Road. Go 5.0 miles to traffic circle. Exit traffic circle on OPPOSITE side as you entered (pretend it was never there). Go 0.9 miles and turn LEFT on Yacht Road. Go 0.8 miles and turn LEFT into LNYC.

There is an electronic gate combination for member use only. LNYC will open the gates during invitational weekends only.

  • Slip space at the Lake Norman Yacht Club is free of charge.

Launching

  • Ramp Launching: Dry Sailed boats on the lake have devised a way to launch their boats off a trailer at the Lake Norman Yacht Club landing by using an innovative 48' tongue on their trailers.

  • Crane Launching:
  • Mast Stepping: A fixed "telephone pole" with a crane and 4:1 pulley is in place at the Lake Norman Yacht club in the vicinity of the launching ramp.
