Soverel 33 Class Association
Proposed BASIC Soverel 33 Class Rules
- Boat is to known as a Soverel 33.
- Any boat that has been given a PHRF rating as a standard Soverel 33 by a PHRF Rating Committee is qualified to race in Soverel 33 sanctioned events. (This covers weight, sails, rig, accommodations, and deck/hull modifications.)
- Boat is to have been designed by Mark Soverel, is to have been built by Soverel, Tartan, Republic, or Pacific Boat Works, and mast is to be made of Aluminum. (This covers everything else.)
- If there is a question as to whether we can get a one-design class in any one particular regatta, the above rules may be relaxed to allow not-fully-compliant Soverel 33's to enter the event; pending approved by all other participants.
-
Any skipper who has sailed in more than five America's Cup Regattas is to be given a separate division in the Nationals.
