Agenda for 2000 AGM

Dear Soverel 33 Racers,

The Soverel meeting will begin at 7:00 PM at the Larchmont YC (after awards and diner)on Saturday 9/9/2000 under the large tent. This will be the first official annual meeting of the Soverel 33 class Fleet 1 - Northeast to establish rules and a governing body.

The purpose is to organize an official class with organization and dues to promote/market future Soverel one design class sailing events. The agenda is as follows:

1. Call meeting to order
2. Vote on membership status and class dues (just owners or anyone who want to pay the dues)
3. Nominate and Vote on governing body (President, Treasurer, Secretary)
4. Present and Vote on governing body responsibilities, terms, etc.
5. Present and Vote on modifying the class rules
6. Present and Vote on possible class "one-design" racing rules
7. Present and Vote on possible class sanctioned events (NA's, East Coast's, etc..)
8. Propose any other new business
9. Call Meeting to close

Attached are two already proposed sets of rules (one complex, one simple), please review them and, if you cannot attend this meeting, let me know your specific comments over e-mail. I will include them in the meeting as well as any other thoughts you have which will promote sailing the S33 one-design. Also, please pass this along to other Soverel owners/sailors to solicit their opinions. Remember the objective, to form a class with organization and dues to more effectively market/promote our one-design events.
